A figure in the high school, college and pro scene here in South Florida, Coach Herrera enters his 4th year on the helm here at Killian, and his 10th overall. During his 4 years at Killian, Coach Herrera has placed over 20 players on Scholarships in colleges all over the Southeast; including placing more at the University of Miami and Florida International University than anyone else in the State of Florida. In the summer, Coach Herrera has coached over 45 professional Draft Picks including Six First Round Picks in J.P Arencibia (University of Tennessee), Carlos Gutierrez (University of Miami), Jamile Weeks (University of Miami), Yonder Alonso (University of Maimi), Jason Place, and Eric Hosmer. This summer, Coach Herrera will serve as a Recruiting Coordinator and Assistant Coach for the AABC affiliate team at the United States 18 and Under Baseball Trials. Coach Herrera is married to the Former Lissette Vinas, and has a 4 year old son A.J.
